Disney’s Hollywood Studios set to celebrate the season with “Sunset Season’s Greetings”

This holiday season, “Sunset Season’s Greetings”, an all-new winter wonderland is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Each night from November 7 through December 31 guests will be able to see Sunset Boulevard as they never have before. The billboards and buildings along the street will move and tell their own holiday stories complete with appearances from select Disney characters.

The centerpiece of “Sunset Season’s Greetings” will be the transformation of The Hollywood Tower Hotel into “The Hollywood Toy Hotel”. Using projection mapping technology, Disney imagineers will allow Disney characters to celebrate the season in their own special ways.

Guests will be able to enjoy the following holiday scenes on the big “screen”:

  1. Toy Story characters making guesses at which toys will be coming to join them at Christmas before the entire scene is enveloped in wrapping paper.
  2. Mickey and Minnie looking back at a hometown Christmas view as the scene turns into a Norman Rockwell painting, fading from black-and-white and into color.
  3. Olaf dreaming of his holiday wish as the scene turns into a Frozen snowscape complete with dancing Aurora Borealis and a projected snowfall.
  4.  The Muppets’ Swedish Chef babbling, as only he can, while changing the street into giant gingerbread houses.

“Sunset Season’s Greetings” will also include holiday music and run continuously throughout the night.
