Best Quick Service in WDW – Parks and Disney Springs

Dining in Disney World is much more than your typical burgers and fries. And you don’t have to spend a lot of money to find some great eats! One of the most common questions we are asked is,”What’s the best quick service in each park?” Here are our top choices, plus our favorite in all of Disney World at Disney Springs! Warning – these photos will make you hungry.

Magic Kingdom

Columbia Harbour House

Located in Liberty Square, Columbia Harbour House offers something different than your typical theme park fare. Our favorites are the fried shrimp and the Anchors Aweigh tuna sandwich. Not into fish? Try the chicken pot pie.

Word of Mouse Tip: Head upstairs to the second level of seating, and find your way to the small area that overlooks the walkway from Fantasyland to Liberty Square. This spot is much quieter than the rest of the seating and offers nice views of the park – in two different lands!

Animal Kingdom

Satu’li Canteen

Located in Pandora, Satu’li Canteen offers our favorite quick service food in Animal Kingdom – maybe even of all the parks. Disney really stepped up its game with hearty bowls, steamed pods, and beautiful desserts. The chicken bowl pictured above, paired with a potato hash, was delicious! Ample indoor and outdoor seating is available, and self-serve fountain drinks mean free refills!

Honorable mention goes to Flametree BBQ – our favorite until Satu’li Canteen opened.

Epcot

World Showcase: Katsura Grill

Located in the Japan Pavilion, Katsura Grill is a great spot for a light lunch. I’m a fan of the sushi platters, and the noodle bowls are great too. My favorite thing is the unsweetened iced green tea – it’s cold and refreshing on a hot day. The seating is limited, but feels authentic. After you eat, take a moment to explore the Japanese gardens surrounding the restaurant before you head to your next destination.

Future World: Sunshine Seasons

Sunshine Seasons, located in The Land pavilion offers something for everyone. From soup and sandwiches to fried rice to grilled fish, you can find something to please everyone in your group. Don’t miss the bakery section! They have some amazing desserts for a food court – the strawberry shortcake is a favorite. Keep an eye on the menus, as they tend to change frequently.

Hollywood Studios

To be honest, Hollywood studios is lacking in good quick service options. Selections are typical – hot dogs, burgers, and fries. We would actually recommend skipping the quick service meals and indulging in the great snacks at Sweet Spells. The Carrot Cake Cookie – cream cheese icing sandwiched between to giant rounds of carrot cake – is large enough for two people to share. But, if we had to pick one quick service it would be:

Backlot Express

The food is not anything to rave about, but there is a fun Star Wars themed Dark Side Chicken and Waffles. You can find The Backlot Express near Star Tours.

We’re hoping that the upcoming Star Wars and Toy Story lands will add better quick service choices to Hollywood studios. Maybe Woody’s Lunch Box will be a gem!

Disney Springs

Wolfgang Puck Express

Wolfgang Puck Express is our favorite quick service location in all of Disney property! Located in the Disney Springs Marketplace, this quick service restaurant feels more like table service, with real plates and utensils, and a server who brings your food and refills your drink. The food is amazing! We first visited Wolfgang Puck Express in 2005, and it’s our first stop every time we come back to Disney World. We highly recommend the woodfired pizzas – especially the Four Cheese Pesto. We’ve never had a bad meal here. Other options include everything from soups, sandwiches, pasta dishes, meatloaf, salmon, roasted chicken, and more.
